It is not porcelain and it is not ceramic on steel. Quartet sells a separate Penrite Slimline Porcelain range for that, and the two carry different surface warranties.

Yes. The specification lists Magnetic as yes, and the surface is steel, which is what makes a whiteboard magnetic in the first place. A melamine board or a glass board will not hold a magnet without a steel backing behind it. Ordinary whiteboard magnets, magnetic buttons and magnetic clips all sit on this board.

Ten years on the surface. Three separate trade sources publish a ten year surface warranty for the Penrite Slimline Premium range. It is a surface warranty rather than a whole of board warranty, and no source we could reach publishes a lifetime term for this range, so we do not claim one.

The Penrite Slimline Porcelain board in the same size has a porcelain surface with a twenty five year surface warranty and costs more.
