Grey Lacquer Sonnet: Gold Trim Without the Black

Parker 2213721 is the Sonnet fountain pen in grey lacquer with gold trim and a medium nib, for someone who likes the warmth of gold accents but finds black lacquer too severe.

In our photos the barrel and cap have a soft, brushed grey sheen, set against a gold arrow clip, a gold cap band engraved with the Parker name and gold rings at the section. The section itself is black and the nib is gold in colour with Parker's engraved pattern. Our box photo shows a grey Parker presentation box with a grey slipcover band holding the pen.

A medium nib is the everyday choice: broad enough to write smoothly on ordinary copy paper, fine enough for diary entries. The grey and gold pairing also sits well with charcoal suits, slate desks and grey leather folios, which makes it an easy pick for a corporate gift.

We could not obtain Parker's own page for item 2213721, which is why this description sticks to the title and photographs and leaves out nib material, ink and filling system. See executive fountain pens, fountain pen inks and Parker.

FAQs

Yes. The Sonnet ballpoint in grey lacquer with gold trim is listed separately.
We could not confirm the nib material from Parker for this code. Our photos show a gold-coloured nib with Parker engraving, and the title gives a medium grade.
Without Parker's item page we cannot confirm which ink is supplied. Parker long cartridges and ink bottles are listed in our fountain pen inks range.
In our photos the grey has a soft, brushed sheen rather than a high gloss, with polished gold trims.
