Grey and Gold PVD with a Gold-Toned Steel Nib
Parker 2213725 pairs grey lacquer and gold trim with a fine nib on the Ingenuity fountain pen, and Parker specify a stainless steel nib with a gold PVD coating, so the nib matches the gold trims instead of showing bare steel.
Parker list gold PVD on brass for the trims, gold PVD on stainless steel for the clip, and a cap of lacquer on brass. The engraved shell, which Parker say adds a subtle tactile detail, is the fluted gold section behind the nib in our photos, and the grey shows a fine brushed grain.
Parker describe the large stainless steel nib as giving a responsive writing experience. The fine grade keeps lines narrow for small handwriting and dense notes. Parker list the ink colour as blue / black, and the pen arrives in a premium Parker gift box.
It suits a buyer who wants something less stark than black: grey and gold works with charcoal and navy alike. The grey ballpoint and other Ingenuity fountain pens are below. See executive fountain pens, fountain pen inks and Parker.
