Deep Burgundy for Cards, Letters and Thank-You Notes

Parker 2190512 is a burgundy IM Monochrome fountain pen: burgundy lacquer, burgundy trims and a stainless steel medium nib, a warm, wine-toned pen chosen for personal correspondence and gifts rather than the standard black.

The photos show a rich, matte red-brown body with the clip, rings and nib in a matching copper-toned finish, so nothing breaks the colour. Under that colour the trims are stainless steel, according to Parker, and the cap carries a PVD finish over lacquer.

A medium nib gives handwriting a fuller line, which reads well on greeting cards, envelopes and letterhead. Parker describe the IM as naturally balanced, with a stainless steel nib that responds to the way each person writes. The ink is blue.

Presented in a Parker gift box, it makes a considered present for a colleague who writes cards by hand. The burgundy Monochrome ballpoint is its partner. Find more pens worth gifting, executive fountain pens, fountain pens and Parker.
