Quick-Load Egg-Crate Padding in a Paperback-Sized Case

The Panaro MAX002VGPB has convoluted foam in the lid and the base of the black MAX002 shell, so an item is sandwiched between two padded layers the moment you close it.

Choose it for kit that varies, or where several small things travel together: a compact action camera with its remote, a pair of radios, a field microphone, or a set of electronic modules on their way to a client. Nothing has to be cut, and the foam can be reused when the contents change.

Panaro rate the MAX002 shell IP67 and give its interior as 212 x 140 x 47 mm before foam. A valve vents pressure for altitude changes, and the lid seals on an O-ring under a nylon latch. Panaro make it in Italy.

The two egg-crate layers press together when closed, which holds most light items well. For a heavy item, shaped cubed foam (MAX002S or MAX002HDS) gives a firmer fit.
Panaro fit an automatic pressure release valve so the case can equalise when the air pressure changes, for example on a flight, making the lid easier to open on arrival.
Panaro give 47 mm for the empty interior. With foam in both halves, plan for flat items.
