A White Pedestal Fan For Bedrooms And Home Offices

Nero 749040 is a 40cm white pedestal fan with three speeds, oscillation, a tilting head and a stand that extends from 1020mm to 1260mm.

Weatherdon call this their go to Nero pedestal fan, and it keeps to the basics. Speeds are chosen with push buttons on a control pad that has status indicators, and the instruction manual sets them out as off, low, medium and high. Pushing the knob on the motor housing down starts the head oscillating, and pulling it up stops it. Loosen the neck screw and the head tilts up or down.

Raise the stand to send air across a desk, or drop it lower beside a bed or couch. The cross base covers 680 x 680mm on Weatherdon's figures, so leave that much floor clear. Nero's manual states the fan is intended for normal domestic and household use, which points it at bedrooms, living rooms and home offices. It is rated at 50 W on 240V mains with a 1.5m cable, and needs some assembly on arrival.

Nero's instruction manual for this code says it is intended for normal domestic or household use only. Keep that in mind if you are buying for a workplace rather than a home office.
Weatherdon list the height extension as 1020mm to 1260mm. A collar at the top of the outer tube locks the inner tube at the height you choose.
Push the oscillating knob on the motor housing down to start it. Pull the knob back up to stop the head moving.
Weatherdon do not list either for this code. Speed is set with the buttons on the control pad.
Weatherdon list the black version, Nero 7490401, with the same 50 W rating, 1020mm to 1260mm height range and 680 x 680mm footprint. In their listing the colour is the difference.
Switch off and unplug it first. The manual says to wipe parts with mild soap and a damp cloth, keep water out of the motor housing and vacuum dust from the rear vents.
Nero give a 1 year warranty, and the instruction manual refers to a 12 month replacement guarantee.
