Marbig No 23/20 staples have a 20mm leg and come 5000 to a box, with an ACCO Australia rating of up to 165 sheets. ACCO give no paper weight with that figure.

The box prints "For use in extra heavy duty staplers including Marbig stapler 90230", and an older box design in our gallery names the 90230 too. For the 90230 itself, ACCO give a figure of up to 210 sheets of 80gsm. On ACCO's 90230 page the staple line reads 23/10-24, and the chart on that stapler's base is not legible in any photograph we hold.

The 20mm leg is for the very thick jobs a records office or print room sends through: annual accounts, legal briefs and archive bundles. It is not for every heavy duty stapler: the Marbig 90192 base cautions against legs over 13mm, and the Marbig 90170 chart stops at 23/17.
