The Heavier Gauge Of The Two Marbig Machine Straps

Marbig 51002 is blue polypropylene machine strapping at 12mm wide and 0.95mm thick, on a 3000 metre roll, with ACCO listing a break load of 120kg.

Pallets of boxed stock, bundles of timber mouldings or tightly packed carton stacks put more strain on a strap than a single parcel does. The thicker 0.95mm gauge gives this roll a higher listed break load than the 0.6mm Marbig 51001, which ACCO put at 90kg, while keeping the same 12mm width and roll length.

ACCO list the strap for most automatic strapping machines and use the words heavy duty tasks for it. They do not publish a core size, so confirm what your machine accepts. The break load is the force at which the strap breaks. No safe working load is given, so allow a sensible margin below 120kg when planning a load.
