Half Width Archive Storage With A Lid That Stays On

The Marbig Compact Archive Box is a narrow archive box with a hinged lid attached along the back, sized at 410mm long, 180mm wide and 260mm high, and sold here as a carton of 5.

A full size archive box is often more than a small file needs, and a heavy one is awkward to lift from a high shelf. ACCO describe the Compact as half sized, lighter and easier to carry, and it fits shelving that is too shallow for the standard box. Standing on its end, it can also sit on a bookshelf like an oversized box file, with the round finger hole in one end panel for pulling it out.

Marbig grade it Standard Strength, and the side print gives a 15kg maximum load and a stack of up to 5 high. ACCO list double short end walls, a double base layer and single long sides. Because the lid is hinged, it cannot be separated from the box when files are moved around. ACCO say it takes foolscap folders, lever arch files or ring binders, without giving a count.
