Absorbs in under three seconds, and holds what it takes up

Livingstone gauze swabs are 100 per cent absorbent cotton with a measured wick time under three seconds and high volume retention, so they take up fluid fast and do not give it back.

Those two properties are what separate real medical gauze from generic cotton squares. Fast absorbency means the swab works the moment it touches the site; high retention means fluid stays in the swab rather than tracking back out under pressure. The fabric is BP and IP type gauze, chlorine-free bleached and manufactured to GMP standards.

At 5 x 5cm and 8 ply this is the general-purpose size, right for cleaning, prepping and light packing without cutting a larger swab down.

Supplied non-sterile in a paper-wrapped pack of 100, the economical format for general cleaning and prep where sterility is not required.

Non-sterile gauze is the economical choice for general cleaning, prep and applying products. Sterile gauze is individually sealed and is what you use in direct contact with an open wound. We stock both.
Eight layers of gauze folded into the swab. More ply means more absorbent capacity and more bulk. Eight is the general-purpose standard.
Chlorine bleaching can leave residue in the fabric. Chlorine free processing avoids that, which matters for anything sitting against skin for a period.
5 x 5cm suits general cleaning and prep. Step up to 7.5 x 7.5cm or 10 x 10cm for larger areas or heavier absorbency.

Shipping & Delivery

Delivery time depends on your location, the size of your order, and the shipping option selected at checkout. For in-stock items, standard metro delivery in QLD, NSW and VIC is usually 1 to 7 business days. South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and the Northern Territory are generally 3 to 12 business days. Express delivery for eligible parcels under 3kg is usually 1 to 4 business days in QLD, NSW, ACT and VIC. Delivery estimates apply to in-stock items only and may vary due to carrier conditions or delays.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements

Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact Mega Office Supplies as soon as possible.
