Italplast list the I 313 mailing tube at 60 mm across and 745 mm long, supplied four tubes to a pack, for posting and couriering rolled plans, posters and drawings that will not fit inside a shorter tube.

The 745 mm length is the second longest in the Italplast tube range, which runs 40 x 325 mm, 60 x 450 mm, 60 x 625 mm, 60 x 745 mm and 90 x 875 mm, each supplied as a pack of four. An A1 sheet measures 594 by 841 mm, so rolled along its 594 mm edge an A1 print sits inside this tube with room at both ends, and an A2 or A3 print has more room again.

A tube holds a drawing in a cylinder, which is the one shape that stops a crease forming across the middle of a print in transit. Rolled rather than folded, a plan arrives able to go straight onto a table or a wall, and a pack of four means the next one is already sitting on the mailroom shelf.
