Model An Alien, A Flying Saucer And A Robot, Then Play

The FIMO kids form and play Space set, article 8034 17 LZ, gives a child everything for an outer space project: four 42 g blocks of soft oven-bake clay, a modelling stick, step by step instructions and a scene to play in.

Staedtler choose the colours to suit the theme: glitter silver for the saucer and robot, red and turquoise for a one-eyed alien, and black for details. The instructions walk through each model in stages, with a skill level indicator of 1 to 3 stars so children can move on to harder pieces as they improve.

Once the models are baked at 110°C for 30 minutes, the box becomes a play set. It includes a decorative playing surface, a fold-out backdrop, stickers and cut out templates, so the finished alien can land its saucer on a planet and the story can begin.

Staedtler Australia give 8+ years as the age for the form and play range.
