AutoMax 150C: Walk-Away Shredding Sized for a Desk

The Fellowes AutoMax 150C is the compact model in the AutoMax line: stack up to 150 sheets in the tray under its lid, press start, and it feeds the pile through by itself.

Shredded pages come out cross cut, 4 x 38 mm, rated P-4, and drop into a 32 litre pull-out bin. A separate manual slot on top takes up to 8 sheets, plus credit cards and CDs, for the odd page that will not wait for a full tray. Fellowes rate it for one to three users.

Its small footprint comes with a shorter duty cycle. The AutoMax manual gives the 150C 12 minutes of continuous running before a 25 minute cool down, so it suits a steady daily pile rather than a whole archive at once. SilentShred keeps the noise down in a shared room, Sleep Mode drops it to standby after two minutes idle, and Auto Reverse backs paper out if a jam starts.
