The Epson 503XL High Capacity Black is a genuine Epson Claria Home Ink cartridge for the WorkForce WF-2960 and the Expression Home XP-5200.

Epson Australia lists the 503XL for the current WorkForce WF-2960 and the Expression Home XP-5200, now in Epson's back catalogue, and says it gives approx. 2.5x more prints than the standard 503. Epson Australia publishes two page yields for this black cartridge: approx. 500 pages on its WF-2960 specifications page and approx. 550 pages on its XP-5200 page, both under the ISO/IEC 24711 and 24712 test suite. We show both rather than pick one.

Epson Australia's WorkForce WF-2960 specifications page gives approx. 500 pages and its Expression Home XP-5200 page gives approx. 550 pages for this cartridge. Both cite the ISO/IEC 24711 and 24712 test suite, and we have not found an Epson explanation for the gap. We show both; for a cautious estimate, plan on the lower figure.

It gives the standard 503 black approx. 150 pages on its WF-2960 page and approx. 210 pages on its XP-5200 page, against approx. 500 and 550 pages for this 503XL.
Epson Australia states its yields under the ISO/IEC 24711 and 24712 test suite. Its yield testing explainer says the tests run in default mode on plain paper and that declared yields are rounded down. Your own yield will vary with what you print.
