Pastel Colour With a Pencil Point, Three Tins at a Time
This listing is a box of 3 Derwent Pastel Pencils tins, ACCO code R32992 (Derwent 32992), with 24 assorted pastel pencils in each tin, so 72 pencils in all.
Derwent describes these as fine grade pastel in pencil form, with a 4mm pastel core in a round barrel. The texture is soft, powdery and chalky with minimal dusting, and the pencils sharpen to a point for detail. Derwent notes the palette in this tin suits nature and wildlife drawing, and lists the 24 colours, from Process Yellow and Cadmium Red to Carbon Black and Titanium White.
The pastel can be smudged dry with a paper stump or a fingertip, or wetted with a brush to make light washes, as Derwent explains. Three matching tins let an art room hand the same 24 colours to three students or tables at once.
Blend with craft pastels, top up single shades from Derwent Pastel Pencils, or browse more drawing stock in Art and Craft Supplies and the wider Derwent Academy range.
