A wooden bench hook for steadying lino while carving

Zart Wooden Bench Hook 20 x 29cm, supplier code TQ518, is a sturdy wooden board with a guard rail, used when carving lino squares with lino carving tools.

The Creative School Supply Company says the bench hook is used to protect hands from sharp lino carving tools. To use it, the bench hook is placed on a table and the lino square is set on the wooden board, with one hand kept behind the guard rail. The supplier lists it in its lino range and files it as a safety item.

The bench hook sits beside lino tiles and carving tools in a printmaking lesson. The supplier's method is simple: board on the table, lino square on the board, one hand behind the guard rail. The board is 20 x 29cm, and the supplier lists it at 690g.

Use it with lino tiles and a set of lino carving tools. Lino tiles and V-shaped carving tools are listed separately. Browse carving tools and cutters, art and craft supplies, educational craft supplies and the Zart range.
