Precut aluminium wire for armatures and models
Zart Aluminium Armature Wire 1.5mm 38cm Pack of 100, supplier code WGZ902, is a pack of 16 gauge aluminium wire in 38cm precut lengths from The Creative School Supply Company.
The Creative School Supply Company describes its armature wire as a very soft aluminium wire suited to construction. The supplier says the wires are flexible and pliable, easy to shape and form for armatures or model supports, and can be used for individual projects or group work. This code is 1.5mm thick, with 100 precut lengths in the pack.
The supplier suggests using armature wire to build the basic skeleton of a model before a more refined surface such as Magiclay or Modroc is applied. Wrap the wire around a dowel rod to make coils, or around pliers for a rounded shape. Each length is already cut to 38cm.
The 175m roll of 1.5mm wire suits longer runs. Pair these lengths with Magiclay or Modroc (ArtRoc) for the outer surface, then browse modelling clay, papier mache supplies, educational craft supplies and the Zart range.
