A Wider 1.8 L Jar for Coffee Beans and Biscuits

Connoisseur 42614 steps up to a 130 mm wide body: a 1.8 L clear acrylic canister, 200 mm tall, with a clip-down lid.

The wider mouth is the point. A hand or a scoop goes in easily, so it suits coffee beans for a grinder, biscuits for the meeting room plate, individually wrapped lollies or a decanted bag of rolled oats in a breakfast room. In a cafe it puts a counter treat on show without taking much bench space.

Weatherdon give it an air-tight lid with a chrome clip, and list it as BPA free and dishwasher safe on the top rack. The lid is hinged on a wire so it cannot be put back on the wrong jar or lost in the sink.

It shares its 130 mm width with the 2.2 L canister, which is 20 mm taller. Choose the 1.8 L where wall cupboard height is limited, or the jumbo 4.5 L with a carry handle for bulk.

Weatherdon give the volume only, not a weight of contents, and whole beans are bulky for their weight. Do not count on a 1 kg bag fitting in 1.8 L; the 2.2 L or the 4.5 L jumbo jar give more room.
Both are 130 mm wide. The 2.2 L is 220 mm tall against 200 mm for this one, so pick by shelf height.
Weatherdon list it as dishwasher safe on the top rack. Do not use the bottom rack.
