Copperplate 2B Pencils for Writing and Sketching With Dark Lines

Columbia Copperplate 617002B holds 20 hexagonal 2B lead pencils. In ACCO Brands' grade list the 2B produces smooth, dark lines, so it suits people who want a bolder handwriting stroke or quick tonal sketches.

This is the 2B member of the series ACCO Brands names as Columbia's flagship. Each pencil has the red body and dark brown capped end that ACCO calls uniquely identifiable, set on a hexagonal barrel. The photos supplied by ACCO show 2B printed beside the columbia and copperplate wordmarks, so a 2B can be told apart from an HB at a glance in a mixed jar.

ACCO Brands says Copperplate lead will sharpen easily without crumbling, and the 617002B carton puts that message in short form beside the grade. ACCO describes it as premium, high-quality lead offering smooth writing performance and a comfortable writing experience for professional and personal use.

Our pencils collection holds the wider Copperplate grade range, while drawing supplies and erasers round out a sketching kit. Every other Columbia line we carry is grouped on the brand page.
