Teal Green, a Deep Shadowy Green
Teal Green comes in a 75ml tube of Jo Sonja's Matte Flow Acrylic and paints out as a deep, dark green for shaded leaves and moody backgrounds.
Expect a dark tone: our swatch photo shows Teal Green as a deep green with an olive cast, not a bright turquoise. Its black label band is printed Teal Green, Series 1, with a filled circle and names such as Vert de Sarcelle. The third image is a studio scene where bright turquoise paint lies squeezed out near two tubes and a water jar.
Deep greens give leaves and foliage their shadow side and make lighter greens sit forward in a design. Teal Green also works as a rich background for florals and as a dark band on painted furniture. Pair it with Yellow Green on one leaf to see light and shadow side by side.
When shading a bunch of leaves, shade leaves with angled brushes from the craft paint brushes range, find lighter greens for highlights among our acrylic paints, and gather boards and blanks from art and craft supplies.
