Slate Grey for Stone, Storms and Shadows
Neutral Grey is a ready-made slate grey for students painting storm clouds, stone walls, rocks, cityscapes and soft shadows.
Greys are surprisingly hard for young painters to build consistently, so a ready-made tube is handy. The product photo shows a slate grey swatch with a cool, slightly blue undertone that turns silvery where scraped thinly over the canvas. The Chroma tube is labelled Neutral Grey, medium bodied students' acrylic, and holds 75ml, with the Chromacryl logo and Est. 1965 mark down the side.
With a consistent grey in their own kit, students can repeat the same tone across a series of drawings and paintings. The tube is easy to carry, and the grey label band is clearly different from Black and Silver in a pencil case.
See the full spread of acrylic paints, choose classroom canvas boards for cityscape projects, and add art and craft supplies for mixed media. Paint brushes in flat and round shapes suit stonework.
