Neutral mid grey for stone, storms and tonal studies
Neutral Grey from Chromacryl is a mid to dark grey, useful for stone walls, storm clouds, city scenes and tonal value exercises.
Grey lets students practise tone without the distraction of hue, which is why it shows up in so many drawing-to-painting transition lessons. In a 1 litre bottle it suits art rooms that run tonal studies with more than one class. The bottle itself looks a plain mid grey in the photos, and the silver label band spells out NEUTRAL GREY.
Having a ready-made grey speeds up lessons on cityscapes, rocks, elephants or rainy weather, because every student starts from the same consistent base. A litre suits programmes where tonal studies return each term and the same grey is wanted by junior and senior classes alike.
Combine it with Black and White from our acrylic paints, add classroom canvas boards for tonal studies, and pick up brushes from the craft paint brushes range for fine value work on grey scale charts.
