Dark Purple for Florals, Fruit and Deep Shade
Purple is a dark, rich violet-purple for irises, grapes and plums, and the deepest shadows inside a floral painting.
Swatched out, Purple appears as a very dark purple that reads almost black in the thick area, with violet showing through where it is scraped thin. A violet band carries Purple plus Purpura, Purpurrot and Pourpre. Series 1 applies to Purple; a half-filled circle marks the dark violet-purple label. Atelier Fine Artists' Paint heads the AI12700 tube; Interactive Acrylic, Unlockable Formula describes Purple.
An 80ml tube keeps the dark violet-purple portable for classes and workshops built around irises. It suits irises, deep shadows in florals and grape still life. The AI12700 tube names Purple clearly at the top. Keep Purple on hand for plum-toned skies.
When planning plum-toned skies, prepare canvas or art paper for grape still life, keep palettes and accessories near the dark violet-purple and line up acrylic paints beside this dark violet-purple.
