Indian Red Oxide Artists' Acrylic by Chroma, 60ml
Indian Red Oxide is a deep maroon brown-red for red earth, rusted iron, old brick and rich warm shadows.
On the swatch it reads as a dark brownish red that lightens to a dusty pink-brown at the thin edge. Indian Red Oxide is printed under Atelier Free Flow Artists' Acrylic. Indisch Oxidrot is the German version of this brown-red. The Indian red oxide is Series 2 with an opaque marking. The Indian Red Oxide label lists pigment PR.101. This maroon red shows Lightfastness ASTM 1, Woolscale 8:8:8. AT11750 is its code.
A 60ml Indian Red Oxide bottle is a compact studio and travel size for red-earth sketches, rusted textures and warm shadows. The Indian red oxide is marked opaque, for solid cover. This brown-red makes a low-cost trial size at 60ml. Indian Red Oxide has a flip-top cap, handy in class.
Indian Red Oxide painters often look at more acrylics too. The Indian red oxide works with brushes; this maroon red sits well with palettes, and Indian Red Oxide days call for aprons and smocks.
