Once alignment has occurred, a reverse charge is applied from a corona beneath the paper and this electro-static force then pulls down the image from the surface of the drum onto the paper. It continues to turn and move until the whole image has been transferred to the page. The sheet then moves to the heating element section where the loose particles of toner polymers get pressed and melted into the fibres of the sheet to secure permanent adherence. It then exits the printer to a waiting tray ready for operators to access and continue handling and processing. This type of printing technology is cost-effective and ideal for volume printing at the lowest cost is the order of the day.
