34 Pages A Minute, And It Scans Both Sides

The Brother MFC-L2880DW is a compact monochrome laser all-in-one rated at up to 34 pages a minute, with a 50 sheet feeder that scans both sides of a page and toner options reaching 5,000 pages.

Print is 1200 x 1200 dpi from a 250 sheet tray with a single sheet manual feed slot, driven from an 8.8cm colour touchscreen. The 50 sheet feeder uses a dual sensor to capture both sides of a page, and two sided faxing works in both directions. Connection is USB, 10/100 Ethernet, dual band Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct.

Toner runs three deep, all ISO/IEC 19752: TN2530 at 1,200 pages, TN2530XL at 3,000 and TN2530XXL at 5,000, on a 15,000 page DR2530 drum, with a 1,200 page cartridge in the box. That 5,000 page option is what separates the running cost from the entry model.

Yes. The 50 sheet feeder uses a dual sensor to capture both sides, and two sided faxing sends as well as receives. Note that two sided copying still works by scanning one side and printing double sided, which is how Brother publishes it for this model.
Three options, all ISO/IEC 19752: TN2530 at 1,200 pages, TN2530XL at 3,000 and TN2530XXL at 5,000, on a DR2530 drum rated at 15,000 pages. A 1,200 page cartridge ships in the box. That 5,000 page option is the one to price if the machine will be busy.
Three things: 34 pages a minute against 32, a feeder that captures both sides of a page, and a third toner tier at 5,000 pages that the L2820DW does not have. The screen is larger too, at 8.8cm against 6.8cm.
