Colour Pages For The Office, In A Compact LED Footprint

The Brother HL-L3280CDW is a compact colour printer with an LED engine in Brother's colour laser class, rated at up to 26 pages a minute in colour and mono alike, with automatic two sided printing.

Output is 600 x 600 dpi with Brother's 2,400 dpi class quality mode, from a 250 sheet tray plus a manual feed slot. Connectivity is the full set: Gigabit Ethernet, dual band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, USB, AirPrint, Mopria and Universal Print, driven from a 6.8cm colour touchscreen. Brother rates it for 1,000 to 3,000 pages a month.

Toner is the TN258 series: 1,000 page standard cartridges in all four colours, and TN258XL high yield at 3,000 black and 2,300 per colour, rated to ISO/IEC 19798. Note the larger TN259 cartridges do not fit this model; they belong to the HL-L8240CDW. In-box cartridges are the 1,000 page standard set.

The engine is colour LED, which Brother sells within its colour laser class - the technologies work the same way from the buyer's side, using the same style of toner cartridges and drum. LED engines have fewer moving parts, which is part of how this model stays compact.
The TN258 series: 1,000 page standard cartridges in black, cyan, magenta and yellow, or TN258XL high yield at 3,000 pages black and 2,300 per colour, all rated to ISO/IEC 19798. The larger TN259 cartridges do not fit this model - they belong to the HL-L8240CDW.
No, it is a print only machine. Brother's MFC colour models add scan, copy and fax on the same engine if you need them.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements
