The genuine Brother BU-320CL is a colour laser belt unit - the part that carries toner from the drum to the page and keeps the four colours in register - rated by Brother at approximately 20,000 pages at one page per job or approximately 50,000 pages at five pages per job.
A colour laser has four wear parts, not one: the toner cartridges, the drum, the belt unit and the waste toner box. The belt is the one most people have never heard of, and it is the one that governs colour alignment. Brother's own fault guidance for colour offset and for a failed colour registration ends with the same instruction - install a new belt unit. If your colours are very slightly out of line with each other, this is the part to look at before anything else. Brother Australia has removed this printer generation from its website, so there is no compatibility list on the product page any more. Brother's own support site still lists this belt unit against the HL-L8250CDN, HL-L8350CDW, MFC-L8850CDW and MFC-L9550CDW. If your machine is not named here, send us the model and we will confirm before you order.
Brother rates this belt unit two ways, and the gap between them is the point: approximately 20,000 pages at one page per job, and approximately 50,000 pages at five pages per job. Like a drum, it wears by how often the machine cycles rather than purely by sheets, so short jobs consume it faster per page. Work out which pattern your office actually prints before you plan around either number.
Your printer will warn you before it stops. Brother's display shows Belt End Soon first, which is the point at which to order, and Replace Belt when it is due. One step people miss: after fitting a new belt you must reset the belt counter in the machine's Parts Life menu, or the printer keeps counting the old one. It works with the DR-341CL drum, the TN-341 and TN-346 toner range and the WT-320CL waste toner box, and the printer reports each of them separately, so they rarely fall due together. Using the genuine Brother part keeps the printer's own parts-life counters accurate, which is what lets it warn you in advance instead of failing mid-job. Replacement is an end-user job.

Returns, Refunds & Replacements
Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact Mega Office Supplies as soon as possible.
