A spiral spring coil fastener with a pressure plate, fitted at the factory. The coil clamps the stack under the plate so the papers stay put.

They are different fasteners in the same board. The spiral spring clamps a stack under a sprung coil and pressure plate, and Avery describes pages going in and out at the top. The spring transfer threads pages onto two prongs that spring into an arch, and Avery says documents are accessible at any position and pitches it as an alternative to a lever arch file. If you open and refile constantly, the transfer is the one Avery aims at that job.

None. Avery publishes no sheet count and no thickness for any file in this range. Their tubeclip range does carry a published figure, but that belongs to a different fastener and we are not going to borrow it. If capacity is critical, order a small quantity and check.

Avery specifies 270gsm for this pack, but their own description says it contains a buff file and every other buff code in the range is 326gsm. We cannot reconcile that and neither do they, so we are not publishing a single figure for the pack. Ask us if the weight matters and we will check.

Avery states buff, red, blue, green and yellow. They do not publish how many of each, so we are not going to tell you it is one of each even though a five pack of five colours points that way. Avery lists the colours that exist and gives none of them a meaning. There is no Avery scheme where red means one thing and blue another. If you run a convention it is yours, which also means a successor will not automatically know it.

Avery publishes nothing about punching for the spiral spring fastener. The coil and pressure plate clamp the stack rather than threading it, so punched paper should not be needed, but Avery does not state it either way and neither will we.

241 x 355mm, which Avery lists as foolscap. That is larger than A4, so check your drawers or shelves take foolscap before ordering.
