The Arnos F209 is a pack of 50 No.3 prongs only, the long prong part of the Arnos No.3 metal paper fastener, for files that need new prongs while keeping their tops and channels.

Arnos describes the No.3 as its original 3-piece long prong paper fastener with a full length secure top slide, giving 50mm capacity for 2 hole punched documents at 7cm or 8cm spacing. Alongside the complete F202, Arnos sells the parts separately in packs of 50: tops (F207), channels (F208) and prongs (F209).

Prongs take the most bending as files are opened and closed, so having spares means a worn prong can be swapped without rebinding the whole file. It also lets a busy filing room rebuild complete fasteners from the parts it already has on hand.
