The Everyday 33mm Clip For Letters And Short Reports

Marbig 87085 is a box of 100 large paper clips, each 33mm long and made from galvanised steel.

Most loose paperwork needs nothing heavier than a paper clip: an invoice with its docket, a letter with its enclosures, a handful of pages going to a colleague for signing. The 33mm size sits between the Marbig small and giant clips, long enough to take a few more sheets than a small clip while still fitting neatly on the corner of a page. The box front says the clips secure multiple pages together.

ACCO list the wire as galvanised steel and call the construction strong. These clips have a plain silver look with no vinyl coating, so they suit general filing rather than photographs or glossy prints, where the coloured coated Marbig clips are kinder to the surface. Because nothing is punched or stapled, pages can be unclipped, reordered and clipped again as the work moves on.

FAQs

One box of 100 clips. ACCO list code 87085 by the piece, and their product name and the box front both describe that piece as a box of 100.
ACCO list the material as galvanised steel and do not mention chrome plating. The word chrome in our title refers to the silver look of the wire.
The range also has a small 28mm clip (87080) and a giant 50mm clip (87090), each in boxes of 100. The large 33mm clip is the middle size.
These are bare galvanised wire. For prints and glossy pages the vinyl coated Marbig 975262 clips are the better choice, since ACCO market that coating as protection against scratches.
No figure for sheets held is given by ACCO for 87085, so none appears here.
