Work Hearing Protection

Start from the measurement rather than the product, because over-protection is a real problem: a rating far above the exposure isolates a worker from warning signals and machinery cues, and gets removed. Earmuffs suit intermittent exposure since they come on and off in a second; plugs suit sustained wear under a helmet. Both fail if worn wrongly.
