Most streaking blamed on a cleaner comes from what wipes it. A lint-free microfibre finishes clear where a cotton cloth or paper towel leaves residue and fibres. Work in shade rather than direct sun, since a heated pane dries the product before it can be wiped. Ammonia-based cleaners damage some tinted films.
