Register Rolls

Three measurements tie a roll to a machine: width, diameter and core size, and getting any one wrong means the roll will not load or will jam partway. Then the paper type, since thermal rolls darken under a heated head and bond rolls need a ribbon. Thermal receipts fade in heat and sunlight, which matters for records kept. See thermal labels, printer ribbons and cash boxes.
