Grip strength and page marking pull in opposite directions, which is the whole decision. A standard wire clip holds a few sheets and leaves almost no impression. Foldback and bulldog styles hold a thick bundle hard enough to indent the top sheets, so keep them off anything going to a client or into an archive box.
