The coating that gives the shine also refuses ordinary ink, which is discovered after a class has started. Opaque paint markers work; most pens bead and smear. Printers generally cannot feed it at all. Plan the design around cutting, layering and adhesive rather than writing, and test any marker on an offcut first.
