Fibre Optic Cables

Unlike copper, fibre fails silently when it is bent too tightly, so cable management is part of the installation rather than tidiness afterwards. Connector type has to match at both ends and there are several in common use. Single mode and multimode are different cables for different distances and do not interchange.
