Cat6 Network Cables

The category rating is a ceiling rather than a guarantee, and on Cat6 the top speeds are specified over a shorter distance than a full-length run allows. For desk patching that is irrelevant; for a long building run it matters. Both ends of the link have to support the speed too. Stranded leads flex at a desk, solid core belongs in a wall.
