1kg of natural undyed raffia. $33.30.
Buying raffia in small bundles is the problem. A teacher hands out a strand each, the activity becomes about rationing, and the point of a natural fibre - that you can pull it, split it, layer it, waste some - is lost. A kilogram removes that entirely.
Undyed and natural, so it sits with timber, clay, hessian and cardboard without fighting them. It also takes dye if you want it to.
It does several jobs. Weaving weft, tying and binding, basketry coils, collage texture, hair on a puppet, thatch on a model, fringing on a costume.
Strong and flexible, so it braids and knots without snapping and holds a knot once tied.
It splits. One strand pulls into several finer ones, which lets the same material do coarse and fine work.
Two things to be straight about
There is no barcode for this product in our supplier data, and we will not invent one. If you scan stock into a system, tell us and we will get it from Zart first.
Zart calls it "eco-conscious". Raffia is a plant fibre, so that is a reasonable description - but there is no certification behind the word and we are not going to present it as one. We have asked what, if anything, sits behind it.

Shipping & Delivery

Returns, Refunds & Replacements
Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact Mega Office Supplies as soon as possible. Where required under Australian Consumer Law, a repair, replacement, or refund will be offered. In these cases, Mega Office Supplies will cover reasonable return shipping costs, and photographic evidence may be requested to help process the claim. Items should be reported within a reasonable timeframe after delivery.
