A roll of 500 removable USE BY labels at 40mm round, white with red printing and a white panel to write on. Paper, removable adhesive, rated minus 5 to 60 degrees Celsius.

The label carries the words USE BY and leaves a white panel for the date. Avery describes it as identifying when a food item must be used, and it is the companion to the day of the week labels rather than a replacement for them.

These go on the outside of a container, not on the food. Avery states plainly that their food safety labels are not intended for direct food contact, which keeps the adhesive and ink away from what you are serving.

White with red printing, which is deliberately not one of the seven day colours so it never reads as a day on a shelf.
