The TPAK 14 gauge x 3.25" Chest Decompression Needle is a single-use needle designed for emergency needle thoracocentesis in the treatment of tension pneumothorax, housed in a compact, shock-resistant case for reliable access in pre-hospital and austere environments.
Tension pneumothorax is a life-threatening emergency in which air accumulates in the pleural space under pressure, progressively compressing the heart and great vessels. Needle decompression via the second intercostal space is the immediate pre-hospital intervention used by paramedics, emergency medical technicians, tactical medical personnel, and wilderness first responders to relieve pleural pressure and restore cardiorespiratory function. The 14 gauge needle calibre and 3.25" length are selected to ensure reliable pleural space access through the chest wall of adult patients, including those with increased chest wall depth.
The TPAK case design protects the needle assembly from damage during transport in emergency bags, vehicle kits, and tactical medical pouches. The compact format facilitates rapid deployment without requiring additional preparation, a critical factor in time-sensitive emergency interventions. Returns, Refunds & Replacements
Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
