Spirax 56598, cover No. 598, is a side opening A4 spiral lecture book with a card pocket divider bound in for loose sheets, plus 140 perforated pages ruled 7mm with a red margin.

Lecturers still hand out printed slides, marking guides and reading lists, and they tend to vanish into the bottom of a bag. Here they slide into the pocket inside the book, next to the notes from that class. ACCO photograph the pocket as a yellow card page with an open top, holding index cards and a pen.

The pages themselves follow the Spirax lecture pattern: 7mm ruling, a red ruled margin, a perforation line beside the spiral and 7 holes along the spine edge that ACCO match to 2, 3 and 4 ring binders. Finished notes tear out and go into a subject binder along with the handouts kept in the pocket.
