An Oversized Chisel Tip for Extra-Wide Marks

A box of 6 retail cards, each holding 1 black Sharpie Magnum permanent marker with an XL chisel tip, so 6 markers in total.

The Magnum is Sharpie's oversized permanent marker. Sharpie describes a sturdy, extra-wide felt chisel tip for clear, precise writing and extra-wide marks, with permanent black ink that is great for use on paper, plastic, wood and leather. That makes it the marker for large signs, pallet and carton labels, sale boards and job-site notices where a fine point would look thin.

Sharpie says the quick-drying ink is fade and water resistant. Because each marker comes on its own card, the box of 6 is easy to split between the warehouse, the front counter and the site office, with spares kept sealed until they are needed.

If the job is wet or oily, the Sharpie PRO chisel marker is the closer match. For narrower lines see our chisel tip markers and permanent markers, or browse writing supplies and the complete Sharpie range for every marking job in the business.

FAQs

The box holds 6 retail cards with 1 Magnum marker on each, so 6 markers in total.
Sharpie calls it an oversized, extra-wide XL chisel tip but does not publish a width in millimetres, so we have not quoted one.
Sharpie's copy for the Magnum lists paper, plastic, wood and leather and makes no wet or greasy surface claim. For wet and oily surfaces, the Sharpie PRO chisel marker is the one Sharpie formulates for that job.
Sharpie says the quick-drying ink is fade and water resistant. It does not publish a UV or outdoor exposure rating for the Magnum.
Sharpie's online title for this code says Pro Magnum Metal, but the card, the barrel and Sharpie's own pack description all say Sharpie Magnum. It is the same item, manufacturer code 2178494.
Sharpie does not publish refill information for the Magnum.
