Sets hard in about thirty minutes, then you can saw it
5kg classroom box. Air-drying modelling compound. Sets in approximately 30 minutes. Model, carve or cast. $66.60.
Most air-dry clay takes a day or two to harden, which means the lesson finishes on Tuesday and the work finishes on Thursday. This sets in about half an hour, which changes what you can teach in a single session.
Once it is hard, it behaves like a material rather than clay. Saw it, carve it, sand it. That opens up detailed work that soft clay simply cannot hold - which is the reason to choose this over playdough or standard air-dry.
It casts as well as models. Pour it into a mould and you get a solid shape; build it by hand and you get a sculpture. Two techniques from one box.
It finishes properly. Acrylic paints, coloured markers, whatever you like - so the making and the decorating can be two separate lessons.
5kg is a classroom box, priced per kilogram rather than per novelty tub.
The supplier states it is Australian made and safe to use. That is their claim, and we are passing it on as theirs - we have not seen the safety data sheet and have asked for one.
What we would want before a big order
No safety data sheet, no coverage guide, no shelf life and no age rating are published. Thirty minutes is fast, so working time matters, and a compound you saw and sand produces dust. We have asked for the SDS and the handling guidance. Ask us before you order for a large group.

Shipping & Delivery
Delivery time depends on your location, the size of your order, and the shipping option selected at checkout. For in-stock items, standard metro delivery in QLD, NSW and VIC is usually 1 to 7 business days. South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia and the Northern Territory are generally 3 to 12 business days. Express delivery for eligible parcels under 3kg is usually 1 to 4 business days in QLD, NSW, ACT and VIC. Returns, Refunds & Replacements
Mega Office Supplies accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened and unused products within 14 days from the invoice date, provided the item is returned in its original packaging and in resalable condition. Original shipping costs are not refundable, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a restocking fee may apply depending on the product type and supplier. Some items, including electronics, assembled or installed furniture, food, beverages, medicines, custom-made products, and certain bulk or special-order items, are not eligible for return unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact Mega Office Supplies as soon as possible. Where required under Australian Consumer Law, a repair, replacement, or refund will be offered.
