The Finest Black Micron for Hairline Detail

The Micron 003 in black draws a 0.15mm line, the finest tip in the range, made for stipple, hairline texture and the smallest details in pen and ink.

Artists working on botanical studies, insect drawings, tattoo flash and architectural texture use a tip this small for marks the eye reads as tone rather than line. The cap end is moulded with the number 003, and the warm grey barrel is printed with the size in purple. A close product photo shows the needle tip above a straight and a wavy test line.

A 0.15mm line allows very gradual tonal build-up through stippling and fine hatching. Sakura's leaflet promises no bleed-through on the thinnest paper and calls the ink waterproof when dry, so hairlines stay sharp under a later wash of colour. Keep a spare on hand for long stipple sessions.
