Rigidity. A 75 micron pouch stays flexible and suits documents that are filed, while 125 micron holds its own shape and suits a sign that hangs or stands. We list 75, 100 and 125 micron gloss in A3 under the Rexel brand.
Match it to the micron range the laminator maker publishes for the machine. Our A3 gloss range runs from 75 micron up to this 125, and a machine quoted for a lower ceiling should not be loaded with a heavier pouch than it is built for.
Yes, but leave a sealed border. Cutting right to the edge of the paper opens the seal along that edge, so the film is no longer bonded around the whole document and moisture has a way in.
Not a Rexel one at present. The A3 laminators in our range are Fellowes, GBC, PHE and Ledah, and each publishes its own maximum pouch thickness, so pick the machine on that figure rather than on brand.
