The Widest Olympic Cloth Tape, In Red

Olympic 141727 is red cloth tape 75mm wide and 25m long, the broadest Olympic width we list, sold here as a single roll.

Narrow tape covers a thin booklet spine in one pass. Thicker work is a different job: a bundle of stapled handouts or a heavy manual needs a strip that wraps the spine and still grips some of the front and back cover. A wider band gives more tape on each cover, so fewer jobs need two overlapping strips with a seam that can lift.

Hamelin Brands, who own Olympic, list the tape as high strength, waterproof and non-stretch, and say it tears evenly. That last point matters on a wide roll, where a ragged hand tear is more obvious. They name book binding, repairs and general masking as its uses.

Red reads clearly from across a room, which makes it a common pick for marking a category on a shelf or flagging boxes that need attention.

FAQs

One roll, 75mm wide and 25m long. Olympic also pack this tape in twos for trade, but this listing is a single roll.
A wider band covers a thicker spine and leaves more tape on each cover. For slim booklets a 25mm or 38mm roll is easier to handle.
Yes. Hamelin Brands say it tears evenly by hand.
The brand lists it as waterproof. That describes the tape itself, so it will not protect paper that is already soaked.
It is a cloth tape sold for binding, repairs and masking. Olympic do not list it for sealing, plumbing or outdoor weatherproofing, so we would not use it for those.
