Garden bug counters for counting, sorting and talking
Learning Can Be Fun Counters Garden Bug Jar of 144, supplier code LBC144, is a jar of 144 bug-shaped counters in 12 shapes and 6 colours for early maths.
Learning Can Be Fun suggests children line up the garden bugs, name them, count them or sort them. The brand also asks children to think about the roles these creatures play in the garden. That makes the set useful in maths and in science talk, and Learning Can Be Fun calls it a great learning tool for young inquiring minds.
With 12 shapes and 6 colours to work with, children can sort by shape, then by colour, and compare the size of each group. The counters come in a sturdy PET jar, so the full set of 144 packs away for easy storage at the end of the session.
Other themed counter jars, from farm animals to sea life, are also listed in the Learning Can Be Fun range, including a garden bug jar of 72. For more options, browse maths equipment, educational supplies and classroom supplies.
