Head shapes for self portraits that reflect every child

The Friendship Colours Paper Head Shapes set from Educational Colours, supplier code EVFSCPHE30, includes 30 pre-cut head shapes in a range of six diverse skin tones for exploring identity, emotions and diversity.

Educational Colours describes the set as an engaging and inclusive craft resource, and a respectful foundation for celebrating multiculturalism and individual differences. Each shape measures 20 cm tall, which the brand says gives a generous surface for children to draw or glue on facial features, hairstyles and accessories like glasses or hats. The heads suit both self portraits and characters.

A 20 cm head gives children room to add detail to a face, from hair to glasses. Educational Colours suggests the shapes for self portraits and for characters from history and literature, which makes them useful across visual arts and personal development lessons.

Pair the heads with collage scraps and pom poms for textured hair and features. See the Friendship Colours range in Educational Colours, plus craft shapes and blanks, craft and art paper and classroom supplies.
