It is the DIN 66399 rating for how small the particles are. This machine cuts 5.8 mm pieces, which is P-2. P-2 suits general internal paperwork. If you are destroying customer records or anything with personal information on it, choose a cross cut or micro cut model instead.

Fellowes rates the 325i for multiple users. The bin holds 83 litres, so it is emptied less often than the smaller machines in the range. That rating is about how much work the motor and bin are designed to absorb, not a hard limit.

Fellowes lists the Powershred waste bags 36056, listed for the 325 and 425 series against the 325i. The litre figure printed on a bag box does not always match the models it is listed against, so go by the model list rather than the capacity when you order.

Fellowes lists its Powershred shredder oil for cross cut, mini cut, micro cut and high security machines. Strip cut machines are not on that list, so we do not sell you oil for this one. Follow the manual that comes with the shredder.
